Intensive Field Magnetic Rollers Tumaroll (TMR) are widely used in quarries and foundries for sand treatment, where the material to be treated has small size. They have the purpose of separating from inert medium and low magnetic susceptibility particles (eg chromites, manganese oxide, ilmenite, hematite, siderite, etc.) which can only be extracted if subjected to high induction magnetic fields and gradients.
The Tumaroll is made up of one or more cascade modules, each one of them contains a magnetic roller, a belt and an idle roller. The magnetic roller is made up of rare earth magnets, arranged to obtain a very high magnetic flux density over the entire length of the roller.
When the process material passes on magnetic roller, the magnetic particles are attracted while the inert material drops freely on the next stage band or discharge hopper. The magnetic particles are discharged when the band detaches from the roller in the return stroke. In order to achieve effective separation quality, the material must be spread well, to form a single layer, so that it can be better cleaned.
Since there is no valid roller for any application, Gauss Magneti adapts its construction to the specific problem so as to design and realize the induction and gradient depending on the material that the customer submits.
