Electro permanent magnets

Gauss Magneti Electro permanent magnets are particularly suitable for the handling of long flat products and have the peculiarity to remain magnetized magnetization even if there is no mains voltage or cable breakage, so they do not require battery backup or safety mechanical forks; they are intrinsically safe.

Particularly suitable for the handling of Billets, Slabs, Single Sheets, Single Tubes, Single Rounds, Single Beams, Single Rails and Cold Rolled Coils both horizontally and vertically.

Their peculiarity lies in the fact that they are activated by a current pulse of a duration of a few seconds and keep their magnetization until a second equal current pulse is sent but opposite to the first which demagnetize them. In addition to the undoubted advantage of a safe handling, they are very seldom subject to failures due to an almost null internal heating due to Joule effect.

The advent of rare earth magnetic materials has allowed a considerable reduction in the weights and in the size of electro permanent magnets having the same lifting capacity.

In order to increase the safety, we also have versions with flux detection, this device allows, by direct measurement of the magnetic flux generated by the electro permanent placed on the load, to determine the force expressed by the magnet itself and therefore, comparing this data with the weight of the load to be moved, to identify the real safety ratio for each single handling operation.

GAUSS MAGNETI also has versions able to work with high temperature materials (up to 600 °).

They can be used individually or under fixed or extensible beam in multiple format.
