Deep field electromagnets

GAUSS MAGNETI Deep Field Electromagnets are tailor-made for the needs customer handling.

During the design phase, the weight of the magnets and the beam (where necessary) is taken into ac count in order to maximize the lifting capacity. These electromagnets are mainly used in the following applications:

• Production loading and unloading (hot material up to 650°C);
• Truck loading and unloading, railway wagons, ships and cutting lines;
• Stocking in store or warehouse.

Particularly suitable for handling bundles and packs (rebars, laminates, drawn bars, profiles, pipes and hollow sections, rounds and beams).

Their construction gives to these electromagnets a very high degree of reliability in working at high temperatures thanks to the particular thermal insulation and the double bottom plate that prevents the heat generated by the load to reach the winding.

Particular care in winding construction and low current density allow the handling of bundles with temperatures up to 650°C.

They can be used individually or under fixed or extensible traverses in multiple layouts.

The electromagnets are fed by the mains through our electronic controllers with four–quadrants digital drive that allows the magnetic flux control, the counter-excitation that allows a very fast load release, winding temperature control by means of current relays (especially for electromagnets for hot handling), automatic battery intervention, back up batteries (Pb or Ni-Cd) and automatic charging system that constantly monitor the battery pack charging status.
